This event is a fundraiser in support of the newly formed environmental club at Helena Elementary School. P.C. PRIDE (Person County People Rising in Defense of Ecology), is a grassroots environmental group based in Person County, NC. The theme of this year's event is "Rise and Shine!", which ties in with the Helena environmental club's goal of raising $10,000 towards the purchase of solar panels for their school. The race wiil take place on November 12, 2016 at Mt. Tirzah Park in Rougemont, NC (1795 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC 27572). This is a family-friendly race, so whether you are an experienced runner or if this is your first 5k, this race is for you! Awards will be given for the top male and female 5k finishers, and the first place finishers in each age group!
